Sir,
KBG’s Abracadabra titled “Plea for Footwear Bhagya in addition to five Congress guarantees!” in SOM dated July 20 was thought-provoking along with his personal experience on incidents of shoes lost on various occasions and epilogue with moral and last word.
I had also lost my new shoes in front of Sri Raghavendraswamy Temple when I went for darshan on a Thursday. This incident happened about 28 years back.
Later when I told about this incident to my father, who came to Mysore to see me, he advised me that “when you leave shoes or slippers in front of temples or other huge gatherings, it is better to keep right and left one in opposite direction and set apart so that those who want to steal cannot find the pair of slippers/shoes easily.
This good idea, nay trick, of my father has clicked for me so far while attending large gatherings/functions.
