Mysore/Mysuru: The Karnataka High Court on Monday has stayed the transfer of University of Mysore (UoM) Registrar Prof. R. Shivappa, for the second time in two years.
Prof. Shivappa had taken over as UoM Registrar in Sept. 2019 and was transferred in November the same year. Subsequently, he moved the High Court and succeeded in getting a stay on his transfer, following which he continued to function as Registrar. But on Dec.3, 2021, he was transferred to his parent Department of Social Work at Manasagangothri. But this transfer order reached him only on Dec.9 and subsequently, he again knocked on the doors of the High Court.
The Court, which heard Prof.Shivappa’s plea on Dec.13, gave some relief to him by issuing a stay order against the Dec.3, 2021 transfer order.
