Home Minister in city

Home Minister R. Ramalinga Reddy being accompanied by ADGP (Law and Order) Alok Mohan during his visit to city this morning.

Mysuru: In his first visit to Mysuru after becoming the Karnataka Home Minister, R. Ramalinga Reddy today held a review meeting with Police officers from Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Hassan and Kodagu. The five districts together form the Southern Range.

The Home Minister, accompanied by Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Alok Mohan, arrived in the city at around 12 noon and was received by Southern Range IGP Vipul Kumar and Mysuru City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao at IG Suite in front of the SP Office.

All Police Officers above the rank of Inspectors are attending the day-long meeting where the Home Minister is expected to review security measures for the Assembly elections to be held in early 2018.

Ramalinga Reddy will take stock of pending cases in Mysuru, crime detection and pending crime, cases of murder, women and child-related cases.
