Hostel facility for minority students

Mysore/Mysuru: The Zilla Panchayat and Minority Welfare Department, Mysuru, have invited applications for admission to Department’s Post Graduation hostels for the year 2022-23.

Students (boys and girls) belonging to minority communities including Muslims, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs, Parsis and other backward communities (SC, ST and OBC) can apply.

The annual income of the family of students should not exceed more than Rs. 2.5 lakh. Reservation for candidates belonging to minority community will be 75 percent while for backward community 25 percent.

The distance of the College in which the candidates have taken admissions must not be more than 5 kms. If PG students are not available, candidates studying professional courses will be given second preference.

Applications must be submitted online (https://sevasindhuservices.karnataka.gov.in/) along with copies of SSLC marks card and previous year’s marks card of their respective courses, caste certificate, income certificate, college admission proof, fee slip, Aadhaar card, bank passbook and 4 passport size photos before Dec. 27.  For details, call Mob: 82177-43399 or 99806-85550 or visit Office of Department District Officer, according to a press release.
