Hotel employees launch stir, demand due salary

Mysuru: Employees of the United 21 Hotel on Bengaluru-Nilgiri Road held a protest locking its main gate, here yesterday. They alleged that the management had not paid salaries for the past six months.

The employees, who sat for a dharna at the hotel, alleged that Manager Gautham Singh had not paid the salaries and the management had also failed to pay ESI and PF for the  past one year.

They also said that the Hotel had an outstanding of Rs. 1.55 lakh to the laundry service and Rs. 4.75 lakh to a petrol bunk. They also added that the hotel had to clear outstanding to many other merchants as well.

The employees demanded owner Deepak Rane and Gautham Singh to arrive at the spot and clear their salaries.

Hotel Owners Association President C. Narayanagowda, who arrived at the spot, said that it was responsibility of the management to extend all facilities to employees and added that the owners must arrive at the spot and clear the salaries immediately.
