Mysuru/Mysore: Saraswathipuram Police, on Jan. 7, have arrested a house burglar on Chaduranga Road in T.K. Layout and have recovered gold, silver and other valuables worth Rs. 6 lakh from him. The accused is 36-year-old Dilip Kumar of Bhuvanahalli village in Hassan district.
During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of committing house burglaries at Saraswathipuram and Nazarbad Police limits in Mysuru and at Subramanyanagar and Kumaraswamy Layout Police Limits in Bengaluru. Based on the information provided, the Police have recovered 105 grams gold ornaments, 4 kg silver articles, one two-wheeler and one cell phone all worth Rs. 6 lakh from him.
The accused had sold the stolen gold and silver in Bengaluru and in Hassan, which have been recovered. DCP B.T. Kavitha and K.R. Sub-Division ACP Poorachandra Tejaswi supervised Saraswathipuram Inspector Vijaykumar, SIs N. Anil Kumar and Bhavya, ASI Manchaiah and staff S. Mahadeva, Basavaraje Urs, Raghavendra, Manjunath, Harish, Kumar, B.K. Harish Kumar and Madhusudhan in the nabbing and recovery operation.
