Mysuru: Two separate incidents of house burglaries have been reported from Anandanagar and Srirampura in city.
In the first incident, miscreants, who have forcibly entered a house in Anandanagar, coming under Saraswathipuram Police limits, have decamped with cash and valuables from the house.
It is reported that burglars who entered the house of one Venkatesh in ‘B’ Block after breaking open the lock of the rear door, have decamped with Rs. 10,000 cash, 16 grams gold ornaments worth about Rs. 30,000, nine wrist watches worth about Rs. 3,000 and a mobile phone worth about Rs. 3,000 kept in the house.
The incident came to light, when Venkatesh, who had gone to Bengaluru on May 8 after locking the house, returned home on Tuesday.
A case has been registered at Saraswathipuram Police Station in this regard.
In the second incident, miscreants have decamped with cash and gold ornaments from a house on the 11th cross in Srirampura 2nd stage here.
Recently, the Police had registered cases of burglaries at two houses on the same cross and this is the third house, which has been burgled on the same stretch again. The Police have suspected the handiwork of the same gang, which had looted houses on the same cross earlier.
The house, which has been burgled now, belongs to one Sanjay, who had locked the house on May 24 and had gone to Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, one Raghavendra, a relative of Sanjay, who saw reports of house burglaries in newspapers, went to Sanjay’s house and it was then that the burglary came to light.
Burglars had forcible entered the house through the front door, broke open the door of the almirah kept in the bedroom and have decamped with about 160 grams gold ornaments and Rs. 28,000 cash kept in it.
A case has been registered at Kuvempunagar Police Station in this regard.
