Attempt made to burgle another house in Kuvempunagar
Mysuru: House burglars, who broke into a house at Nivedithanagar and decamped with silver articles and cash, have made attempts to burgle another house at Kuvempunagar in city.
Burglars, who broke into the house on one Manjunath at Nivedithanagar, have decamped with silver articles worth about Rs.60,000 and Rs.20,000 cash.
Manjunath and his family had gone to Bengaluru on Jan.3 and one Sundaramma, who stays in the watchman shed, called Manjunath over the phone on Saturday and informed him that the front door of his house was open.
Manjunath, who rushed to Mysuru, came to his house and on inspecting the house, the burglary came to light.
In the second case, attempts were made to burgle the house of one Deepu on Paduvana Road in Kuvemmpunagar and an ITC employee.
Deepu’s parents on Jan.4 had gone to Hassan and Deepu, after locking the house at about 6 pm, had left for work. When he returned at about 2 am, he found the front door open and on entering the house, he found the wardrobe and the almirah ransacked but nothing was stolen.
Saraswathipuram Police, based on separate complaints, have registered a case and are investigating.
