Mysuru: In yet another incident of house burglary reported from the city, a house in JSS Layout was burgled in a broad daylight on Sept. 10.
Prashanth, a resident of JSS Layout 2nd Stage, had gone to Chamarajanagar on the morning of Sept. 10 after dropping his wife to the college where she worked as an Assistant Professor. But after returning home along with his wife in the evening, he found the front door of his house open, much to the shock of his life.
He later discovered that burglars, who forced entry to the house by breaking open the lock, had prised open the drawer of an almirah in the bedroom and had decamped with silver jewellery worth Rs. 1.20 lakh.
Based on a complaint lodged by Prashanth, the jurisdictional Alanahalli Police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
