Mysore/Mysuru: Burglars, who broke into a house on Saturday, have decamped with gold ornaments, silver articles and cash. The burglary took place at the house of M.J. Mahesh in Gopalagowda Nagar, who is serving as a security guard at a private company in city, who also conducts petty business during daytime. His wife Shilpa works as a staff nurse at a private hospital.
Mahesh said that on Jan. 27, as it was a holiday for Shilpa, she had gone to her parents’ house along with her son. After finishing his work, Mahesh returned home on Sunday morning only to see the front door open and on entering the house, he saw the door of the wardrobe open and the clothes scattered in the room.
When he (Mahesh) called his wife Shilpa over the phone, she informed him that there was a gold finger ring, four pairs of silver anklets and Rs. 12,000 cash in the wardrobe. When Mahesh inspected the wardrobe, he found the valuables and cash all worth Rs. 70,000 stolen.
Mahesh has lodged a complaint at Alanahalli Police Station and the Cops, who have registered a case under IPC Section 457 and 380, are investigating.
