House burgled in city

Mysuru: Burglars, who gained entry into a house by forcibly opening the rear door of the house, have decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth about Rs. 2.45 lakh from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of one Ananthesh at Kuvempunagar ‘M’ Block on Monday.

On Dec. 9, Ananthesh, along with his family members left for Iguthappa Temple in Kodagu and returned at about 9.15 pm.  The theft came to light when they entered the house and examined the almirah in which they had kept the valuables. The burglars had made away with 111 grams gold ornaments and 1 kg silver articles.

Kuvempunagar Police, who rushed to the house, conducted mahazar, during which the Cops came to know that the burglars had forcibly open the rear door before making away with the valuables.

Inspector Raju, who has registered a case, is examining the CCTV footages of cameras installed in the surroundings of the house and has launched a hunt to nab the burglars.
