Houses burgled: Gold ornaments, silver articles stolen

Mysuru: In separate incidents, burglars who entered two houses in city, have decamped with gold ornaments and silver articles worth about Rs. 27 lakh from the houses.

In the first case, burglars who broke into the house of one Syed Ameen in Subashnagar on Oct. 14, have decamped with gold ornament weighing about a kg.

Syed had locked his house in the morning and had gone out along with his family and the burglary came to light when they came back in the night.

N.R. Police have registered a case and are investigating.

In the second case, burglars have decamped with silver articles from a house in Belavatta village here on Oct. 13.

Cheluvaraju, the owner of the house, had locked the house on Oct. 13 night and had gone out on some work. When he came the next night, he saw the front door broken and upon entering the house, he found the silver articles kept in the almirah stolen and immediately informed the Police.

Metagalli Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
