Hoysala Award presentation on Apr. 5

Mysore/Mysuru: As many as 15 personalities, who strived for the cause of land and language, will be conferred the prestigious State-level Hosyala Award-2025 at a programme organised by Hoysala Kannada Sangha and Savigannada Patrika Balaga, marking its 26th anniversary, at Kannada Sahitya Parishat in Vijayanagar at 10.30 am on Apr. 5.

Columnist and retired DRDO, New Delhi’s Public Relations Officer Jayaprakash Puttur’s work ‘Vyaktitva Vikasana Vicharadhare’ will be released by senior journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar on the occasion.

Padma Shri awardee M. Ankegowda will inaugurate the programme in the presence of Melukote Vangipura Mutt Seer Ilai Alwar Swamiji. Poetess Dr. Latha Rajashekar will release Savigannada Patrike’s 26th anniversary special issue. District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal, noted Diabetologist Dr. V. Lakshminarayan and Sanskrit scholar Dr. K. Leela Prakash will be present.

The 15 personalities who will be conferred with Hoysala Award are: Dr. Nagaraj V. Bairy, Dr. N.S. Rangaraju, Dr. Gurubasavaraj, Dr. Manjappashetty Masagali, Dr.Vamanrao Bekal, D. Thippanna, G.S. Ashok Kumar, B. Ramesh, Arasikumar, Dr. Malathi Kumar, Dr. Geetha Naval, Dr. Anupama, Prof. H.S. Umadevi, Jyothi Guruprasad and Vidushi Pallavi Raghavendra.

Additional DC Dr. P. Shivaraju and social worker Raghuram Vajpayee will confer the award. Karnataka Kalashri Dr. V. Nanjundaswamy will deliver the felicitation address while Science writer S. Ramprasad will be the chief guest. Author Jayaprakash Puttur and Savigannada Patrike Editor Ranganath Mysore will be present.
