HR conclave calls for quality, inclusiveness, acceptance

Mysore/Mysuru: Padma Shri awardee and former Director of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Satellite Centre, Mylswamy Annadurai, emphasised the essence of inclusiveness, underscoring a sense of purpose, belonging and accomplishment.

He was speaking at the HR Conclave organised by the Employee Federation of Southern India (EFSI) at SDMIMD auditorium on Saturday.

Annadurai, who played a pivotal role in India’s first mission to the Moon, Chandrayaan-1, highlighted the importance of innovation in fostering inclusiveness. He shared insights into the creation and launch of satellites as tangible expressions of inclusiveness. Drawing from his personal experiences, he underscored his commitment to inclusiveness during the Chandrayaan-1 mission.

N. Muthukumar, President of EFSI and President & COO of India Leader Cummins Meritor, set the theme by exploring the era of globalisation. He stressed the need for manufacturing industries to recognise the importance of quality and acceptance.

He concluded by emphasising that innovation and collaboration are key drivers for industry advancement, with the future relying on educating the younger generation and instilling values in them.

K. Manickam, Secretary General of EFSI, provided a detailed overview of the organisation’s evolution. Dr. (Lt. Col.) S.N. Prasad, Director of SDMIMD, addressed the creation of new opportunities and the challenges faced in a competitive world. His central focus was on upskilling the younger generation to meet global demands.

The event, attended by notable figures such as Tyagu Valliyappa, Vice-Chairman of EFSI, served as a platform for thought leaders to discuss education, innovation and industry challenges in the current global landscape. EFSI has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering sustainable innovation and protecting the interests of employees across organisations.
