K.R. Nagar: In a heart-rending incident, a man on the pretext of taking his wife and kids to her native pushed them to death at K.R. Nagar this morning.
The accused has been identified as Madhu, 38, a resident of Bagevalu in Holenarasipur taluk. Police said that Madhu was married to one Anusha (26), daughter of Siddalingappa and Manjula, residents of Kotemalawadi and had two daughters Poorvika (4) and Lekhana (2 ½).
Police said that Madhu and Anusha frequently fought over one or the other issue. Anusha’s elder brother Anil, who is in the Army, had invited both of them to his house to discuss their problem. Following this, Madhu along with Anusha and his two daughters, were travelling to Kotemalawadi this morning when the duo picked up a quarrel on the way. An enraged Madhu stopped the motorcycle near Jayachamaraja Wadiyar canal close to Kalkunike in K.R. Nagar and pushed the trio into the canal resulting in their death.
Later, he arrived at Mandya and surrendered in the town’s West Police Station.
On receiving information, Mysuru Additional SP Rudramuni, K.R. Nagar Circle Inspector Basavaraju accompanied by divers, finger print experts and dog squads rushed to the canal and launched search operations to fish out the bodies.
However, they could trace only Poorvika’s body. Search in on for other two bodies. K.R. Nagar Police are investigating.
