Hublot watch case: ACB gives clean chit to CM without recording complainant’s statement!

Bengaluru: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has given a clean chit to Chief Minister Siddharamaiah in the expensive Hublot watch case without recording his statement, alleged complainant Nataraj Sharma, who is also an advocate.

It has not been revealed when the watch was purchased by Girish Chandra Varma before he gifted it to CM. If there is document of the receipt, please provide it, he has urged the ACB.

“The expensive Hublot watch presented to the CM was personally gifted by him, Varma had stated in the affidavit, said the ACB officials. However, the affidavit said to be given by Varma is a fake one. It is not the signature of Varma,” said Nataraj.

Varma was born in Thiruvananthapuram and did his MBBS from Davangere and got a Fellowship in America. He did not have much connection in Karnataka, said Nataraj who added: “However, I had given more than 10 complaints against the CM to ACB. But it has not reacted to any of them. The ACB is completely under the influence of the Government.”
