He was married last year; marriage was registered 10 days ago
A 26-year-old youth working as a cook at an Indian Air Force (IAF) Station in Rajasthan was killed when the bike he was riding collided head-on with a taxi that was coming from the opposite direction near the under-bridge close to GRS Fantasy Park on the Outer Ring Road yesterday night.
The deceased has been identified as Mahesh, son of Mahadev, and a resident of Koorgalli.
Mahesh who got married a year ago had registered his marriage only 10 days ago as required by the procedures of the Defence Ministry.
Mahesh who was riding a Pulsar bike (KA-09-EU-8545),collided head-on with a taxi (KA-53 B-1406) after he entered the service road. Though Venkatesh, who was driving the taxi, immediately shifted the injured Mahesh to Columbia Asia Hospital, the doctors there declared him brought dead. VV Puram Police have registered a case.
Many IAF officials serving in the city, who learnt about the incident, rushed to MMC&RI mortuary this morning and paid their last respects and consoled Mahesh’s family.
