IAS Officer C. Shikha moved to Central service

Bengaluru: IAS Officer C. Shikha from the Karnataka cadre has been appointed to Central service as Joint Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Government of India.

Shikha, a senior IAS Officer, has served in various capacities, including as the BMTC Managing Director, Mysuru Deputy Commissioner, Managing Director of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) and Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) and also as Director of the PU Board.

She has received numerous accolades and her last posting was the Commissioner of Commercial Tax Department. She will soon move to Central service and assume her new responsibilities.

Shikha, a 2004 batch IAS Officer of the Karnataka cadre, has been the recipient of several awards, including the national-level award from the Election Commission of India, which is presented annually on National Voters’ Day to promote best electoral practices.

Her husband, Dr. M.N. Ajay Nagabhushan, is also an IAS Officer currently serving as Secretary, Department of Personnel Administrative Reforms – Personnel and Administration, Government of Karnataka.
