Bengaluru: Senior IAS Officer and BWSSB Chairman N. Jayaram has been appointed as Chief Minister (CM) Siddharamaiah’s Secretary.
Another IAS Officer M.S. Srikar, who was holding the post, has been transferred without posting following the change in Government.
Jayaram, a 2004 batch IAS Officer, will now hold concurrent charge as the CM’s Secretary. He had earlier served as MUDA Commissioner at Mysuru, as Belagavi DC, Secretary of Revenue Department and other key posts. He is the son-in-law of Mysuru-based senior Congress leader and former MLC Sandesh Nagaraj.
In another appointment, Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department K. Chiranjeevi has been appointed as the CM’s Officer on Special Duty.
