Ideathon: Teachers pitch ideas to solve city’s social problems

The prize winning teachers of Ideathon on Social Innovation seen with the Yi Mysuru Team.

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of its responsibility towards providing a solution for real social problems faced in Mysuru city, Young Indians (Yi) Mysuru’s Innovation Vertical in association with CII Mysuru’s Industry Institute Interaction Panel (IIIP) had organised an ‘Ideathon on Social Innovation’ on Feb. 19 at SJCE in city. 

The competition was open to all Mysore University College Professors  and Teachers, who have great problem-solving ideas in the Social Innovation Space.

In all, 15 teams of Professors from various Colleges —GSSSIETW, The National Institute of Engineering, NIEIT, Maharaja Institute of Technology-Mysuru, MIT-Thandavapura, Christ College, Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Mahajana Post Graduate Centre,  Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering and SJCE Mysuru — participated and presented their innovative ideas towards solving real social problems of Mysuru city. Team from SJCE College secured the first prize of Rs. 9,000, Christ College won the second prize of Rs. 6,000 and GSSSIETW won the third prize of Rs. 3,000.

Guruprasad, Executive Members, Yi Mysuru along with 6 Yuva Volunteers from SJCE were present at the competition.
