IETE Mysuru’s first Newsletter released

Mysore/Mysuru: The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication (IETE), Mysuru Centre, released its first quarterly newsletter (Volume 1 – Issue 1) on Jan. 4 in a ceremony at its Mysuru office.

Dr. M.H. Kori, IETE Distinguished Fellow & Vice-President, in his message, said that he is very glad to learn that IETE, Mysuru Centre, is starting a Quarterly Newsletter. 

Charter of IETE is to impart and disseminate technical knowledge to all. IETE, Mysuru Centre, is one of the very active and vibrant Centres doing many technical activities for the benefit of Electronic &Telecommunication Engineering community. But at the same time, it is also essential to chronicle and showcase the excellent work it is doing. Newsletters are the right medium to inform about the activities in the previous quarter. Also, it gives scope to introduce the people behind these activities, announce the upcoming programmes and future plans, include some general interest technical articles, snippets of state-of-art developments, technology directions.

He congratulated Chairman Prof. C.R. Nataraj, Chief Editor of the Newsletter Dr.Shashidhar S. Gokhale, Vice-ChairpersonDr. S.R. Bhagyashree (Dean & Professor, Dept. of ECE, ATMECE, Mysuru), Hon. Secretary Dr. B.D. Parameshachari (Professor & Head, Dept. of TCE, GSSSIETW, Mysuru) and the entire Executive Committee for starting this Newsletter. 

Prof. C.R. Nataraj, in his address, said that he is extremely delighted that IETE Mysuru Centre has taken a very noble decision of publishing a quarterly newsletter. 

The Centre has been in existence for the last 25 years, but this is the first time that a decision has been made to come out with a newsletter highlighting the achievements and activities of the Centre. The newsletter will also document the accomplishments of its esteemed members and the various Student Forums that it has. The newsletter will showcase the prominent happenings in the Centre to the outside world and it will also act as a catalyst in providing an effective interface between the Centre and its members.
