Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) conducted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme and workshop on Ilizarov Techniques under the aegis of ASAMI India at the Platinum Jubilee Hall, JK Grounds, recently.
The scientific sessions and practical demonstrations were led by Dr. Vasudevan from Palakkad and Dr. Harshad Shah from Bengaluru, along with their expert team from ASAMI India.
More than 100 delegates from across Karnataka and neighbouring States participated in the programme aimed to impart fundamental knowledge of Ilizarov principles and surgical techniques to young orthopaedic surgeons, enhancing their skills in deformity correction and limb reconstruction. Dr. H.P. Shobha, Medical Superintendent and Head of the Department of Orthopaedics, MMC&RI and President of the Mysore Orthopaedic Association, presided.
Dr. S.R. Anand, Organising Secretary, Dr. Varush Rao, Joint Secretary and Dr. M.K. Deepak, Treasurer, Dr. R. Ravishankar, Dr. Neelangowda Patil and Dr. P.C. Sunil Kumar were present.
The event received an excellent response for its rich academic content and hands-on training, reinforcing MMC&RI’s commitment to professional growth and surgical education.
