Illegal sale of liquor: Police raid two places, seize liquor, arrest two

Mysore/Mysuru: Ashokapuram Police, who raided two separate places where liquor was being sold illegally, have arrested two persons and have seized liquor bottles and packets from them.

In the first raid, the Police, who raided a petty shop on Ramaiah Road 12th Cross in Ashokapuram, have arrested 45-year-old Ramaswamy on charges of selling liquor illegally at the petty shop near Mahadeshwara Temple. The Cops have seized 16 tetra-packs of Original Choice Deluxe Whiskey of 90 ml each, two empty tetra-packs of Windsor Deluxe Whiskey of 90 ml each and 15 tetra-packs of Haywards Whiskey. 

In the second raid, the Police, who raided another petty shop on Ramaiah Road 8th Cross near Nellur Shed in Ashokapuram, have arrested 56-year-old Seetharamaswamy on charges of selling liquor illegally at the shop and have seized six packets of McDowell’s Whiskey, eight filled and two empty packets of Windsor Whiskey and nine packets of Haywards Whiskey.

Cases have been registered against the accused at Ashokapuram Police Station.
