Mysuru: Doctors play a vital role in maintaining a healthy society, said University of Mysore (UoM) Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar here on Sunday.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Doctor’s Day celebrations organised by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Mysuru Chapter at JWGC. “Doctors, who have been working towards a healthy society, should make use of latest technologies to identify and treat the diseases at an early stage,” he added.
IMA Mysuru Chapter felicitated Dr. T.M. Mahadevappa, Dr. C. Sharath Kumar, Dr. Venkatesh Gowda, Dr. Siddhesh, Dr. Ramegowda, Dr. M.S. Jayanth and Nayarayana Hrudayala’s Dr. M.L. Ravi with Dr. B.C. Roy Award in recognition of their contributions to the Medical field. The Association also felicitated Chandana S. Chauhan, S. Kushi and M. Samprathi, meritorious children of the doctors, on the occasion.
MMC&RI Director Dr. C.P. Nanjaraj, DHO Dr. R. Venkatesh, IMA Mysuru Chapter President Dr. S.D. Prakash, Treasurer Dr. N. Chandrabhan Singh and Hon. Secretary Dr. M.S. Jayanth were present.
