Mysuru:The Implant Clinic and the Comprehensive Training in Implant Dentistry Programme was inaugurated by Dr. Surinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), on Nov.4 at JSS Dental College and Hospital, Mysuru.
The Implant Clinic at JSS Dental College and Hospital, S.S. Nagar, is an advanced sophisticated centre providing state-of-the-art treatment and training in the field of Oral Implantology.
The “Comprehensive Training in Implant Dentistry (CTID)” has been started for dentists at the JSS Dental College and Hospital.
Dr. Sahith Kumar Shetty, In-charge of the Implant Clinic, said that this comprehensive programme is for 1 year and will train the participants in all aspects of Implant Dentistry.
As part of the comprehensive training programme, a hands-on workshop on implant treatment planning, virtual simulation and 3D printing was also organised.
Dr. Shyam Sundar, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. S. Ganesh, Department of Prosthodontics, Dr. Prasanna Deshpande, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology and Dr. P. Abraham Rajiv, Department of Forensic Odontology, were the resource persons for this course.
