Sir,
In spite of the lockdown and keeping distances, the Coronavirus spread is not reduced significantly. In addition to these precautions, it may be necessary to take measures to avoid spread through air at breathing level.
The virus survives and multiplies when it reaches soft tissues of nose and throat. Hence in the breathing air, if there are soft tissue particles of meat, the particles can carry the virus and also help them to multiply.
Hence it is necessary to take measures to avoid tissue type of particles becoming air-borne. Garbage containing meat waste can be source of such particles which can get into air due to sun and wind.
To avoid virus becoming airborne to spread infection, it is advisable to take steps for safe disposal of garbage and improve hygienic condition in the environment. People need to be informed and the City Corporation must take necessary steps to keep the environment clean.
