Mysore/Mysuru: Inauguration of Skal India Congress has been organised at Silent Shores Resort and Spa in Hootagalli here at 7 pm tomorrow (Oct. 4).
Tourism Minister H.K. Patil, District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, MP Pratap Simha and Tourism Department Joint Director M.K. Savitha will be participating in the inauguration as chief guests.
Skal International India National President Carl Vaz, Skal India Congress 2023 Chairman Sudipta Deb, Skal Bengaluru President Ayappa Somaiah and Skal Mysuru President B.S. Prashanth will be the guests of honour.
Skal International, a travel and tourism organisation, has scheduled the conference to be held in Mysuru and Bengaluru from Oct. 4 to 8 this year. It will be a platform to discuss issues relating to tourism.
The opening ceremony, which is to be held in Mysuru city tomorrow, will begin with a cultural extravaganza set against the backdrop of the magnificent Mysore Palace, showcasing the vibrant heritage and traditions of India.
Delegates will then be transported to the hotel on royal horse-drawn carts, according to the organisers.
A panel discussion and a guided tour of ‘Unseen Mysuru’ will be held on Oct. 5, after which the event will move to Bengaluru for the rest of the conference.
