Incomplete road work and dust menace

Sir,

As a resident of Teachers Layout, Yaraganahalli, Mysuru, I would like to bring to your attention the negligence of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) authorities in our area.

Two months ago, they dug up our street, but the work has been progressing unacceptably slow, causing immense hardship to residents.

The road is in a deplorable state, with thick dust covering the entire area. Every passing vehicle stirs up clouds of dust, making it difficult to walk freely. Pedestrians are forced to cover their faces to avoid inhaling the dust, which is especially concerning as many school children and commuters use this road daily.

The dust has also infiltrated our homes, causing severe discomfort. Despite repeated complaints to the officials concerned, we receive only vague and unsatisfactory responses.

The prolonged exposure to dust is a serious health risk, particularly for children and the elderly, yet there seems                             to be no urgency in completing the work.

I once again urge the MCC authorities to prioritise and expedite the roadwork to ensure the well-being of the community.
