Mysuru: Alleging that the funds released by the then Yeddyurappa Government under ‘Nagarothana Yojana’ for the development of city and the works taken up under the scheme were incomplete and was of sub-standard, former Minister S.A. Ramdas will stage a protest by planting saplings in potholes on the stretch of road from JSS Mahavidyapeetha to Sewage Farm tomorrow at 11 am.
Addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here on Tuesday, Ramdas said that the road works taken up at Wards 1, 4, 5, 6, 10 and 11 in K.R. Constituency is of sub-standard and the funds granted then was not utilised properly.
He said that during recent rains, houses in Kanakagiri, Srirampura and other places in city were flooded with the residents losing their costly equipments and household items and urged the District Administration to provide compensation to the residents besides taking up encroachment clearing works of ‘Raja Kaluve.’
