“The sacrifice of our forefathers and past leaders led to our freedom. In order to safeguard this freedom, we need to follow the wishes and guidelines of our past leaders and build a great nation,” said advocate Dr. C.K.N. Raja, who was the chief guest at Kautilya Vidyalaya for the 71st Independence Day celebration of the School.
He recalled the famous, ‘Tryst with destiny’ speech of Jawaharlal Nehru. He added that freedom at mid night was a remarkable achievement for India. He narrated the history of Tricolour and significance of the Ashoka Chakra on it.
Dr. L. Savitha, the Principal of the Institution, in her address, remarked that School is a temple of knowledge that educates the younger generation, moulds its character, creates a new intellectual community. She said that the Institution would inculcate in the institution intellectual vibrancy and knowledge culture to make them innovative leaders of the country.
Despite incessant drizzling, students of the School presented a cultural programme to highlight the theme of patriotism. The programme was attended by Chairman R. Raghu, Administrator Muralidharan, PU College Principal Nishanth A. Naidu and others.
