Mysuru-based Suraj R. Prabodh, representing India in the India F3 Futures $15,000 ITF Men’s Tennis Tournament in Chandigarh, won his final qualifying round in the Men’s Singles event and entered the main draw yesterday.
In the final qualifying round, third seeded Suraj beat Vietnam’s Linh Giang Trinh 6-2, 6-2 and entered the main draw in the Men’s Singles event.
In the first round in the Men’s Singles, Suraj will take on qualifier Vijayant Malik (Ind) on Tuesday. Another Mysorean S.D. Prajwal Dev, went down fighting to India’s Siddharth Vishwakarma 6-3, 3-6, 3-6 in the final qualifying round of the Men’s Singles.
