Indian blind cricketer Shekar Naik felicitated

Mysuru: Shekar Naik, former Captain of Indian Blind Cricket Team, was felicitated by the Rotary Ivory City Mysuru (RICM) recently. Rotary District Governor Vikram Datta feted him in presence of senior Rotarians.

A native of Shivamogga, Shekar Naik did his schooling in Mysuru. Under his captaincy, India won the T20 series and lifted the T20 Cup in 2014. He has won many national awards including Padma Shri in 2017.

Past AG Dr. K.A. Prahalad, Zonal Lieutenant B.G. Nagaraj, President of RICM K. Shashidhar, Secretary Shobha Nagaraj and Principal of Blind School Satish were present on the occasion.
