Chandigarh’s Karandeep Kochhar, Om Prakash Chouhan of Mhow and Delhi’s Arun Kumar were tied for the first round lead at five-under-67 at the Indo-MIM Bengaluru Open Golf Championship 2019 powered by Karnataka Tourism, a tournament being played at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) course yesterday.
The trio consisting of Bengaluru’s Rahil Gangjee, Delhi’s Kapil Kumar and Gurugram’s Abhishek Kuhar, was in joint fourth, one shot behind the leaders at the Rs.40 lakh event, which is also the penultimate leg of the 2019 TATA Steel PGTI season.
Mysuru lad M.S. Yashas Chandra returned with a card of one-under-71 and is tied with 9 other players in the 25th position. Another Mysuru golfer I.L. Aalaap with a day one score of 1-over-73 is placed 46th.
