Mysuru: The ‘Indra Dhanush’ immunisation programme for children will be held across the district from Aug. 8 to 19.
Chairing a health meeting at his office here recently, Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep said immunisation is the last phase of the programme, during which children aged between 5 and 6 years will be administered DPT and booster drops.
Health Officer Dr. Gopinath said that three children from North-Eastern States who suffered from throat infection were treated at Mahabodhi School in Saraswathipuram. The health officer appealed the DC to ensure that there was sufficient stock of throat infection medicines at Epidemic Diseases Hospital and Cheluvamba Hospital.
District Surgeon Dr. Pashupathi, Dr. Kusuma, Dr. Chidambara and others were present.
