Industrial awareness programme for specially-abled entrepreneurs

Mysuru: District Industries Centre (DIC) in association with Mysuru District SC/ST Industrialists Association, Hebbal, conducted an awareness programme for prospective specially-abled entrepreneurs at its premises on Sayyaji Rao Road here this morning. 

Inaugurating the programme, In-charge Deputy Commissioner and ZP CEO K. Jyothi called upon specially-abled entrepreneurs to make use of various welfare schemes and programmes of both the State and Central Governments to become empowered and self-employed. 

Stating that the competition level in all sectors was very high, Jyothi called upon specially-abled entrepreneurs to start their own industries by participating in industrial training and awareness programmes organised by Department of Industries and Commerce in association with various Industry Associations. 

Jyothi also assured that the State Government was ready to extend its helping hand for empowerment of specially-abled.

University of Mysore former Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dayananda Mane, DIC Joint Director D.K. Lingaraju, District Disabled Welfare Officer S.G. Harish, Mysuru District SC/ST Industrialists Association President R. Manjunath and others were present.
