Innova vehicle stolen in city traced at Gujarat

Mysore/Mysuru: A Toyota Innova vehicle that was stolen in city two months ago has been traced in Gujarat.

The Innova vehicle (KA-09-MC-5199) belongs to Nikhil Manjunath, son of retired Nirmithi Kendra Director Manjunath, a resident of Nivedithanagar in city. The vehicle was parked in front of the house on May 12 night and was missing from the next day morning. The thieves had stolen the vehicle during night or in the wee hours of May 13.

Saraswathipuram Police, who had registered a case, swung into action and based on the clues traced the vehicle at Gujarat. Inter-State vehicle lifters, who had stolen the vehicle had hidden the vehicle at a godown in a deserted place on the outskirts of Gujarat. 

It is suspected that the same gang may have lifted another Innova vehicle from Vijayanagar 3rd Stage and also a Toyota Fortuner.

Inspector C.M. Ravindra and his team is said to be leaving to Gujarat tomorrow (Monday) and would return with the Innova vehicle. Manjunath, the owner of the vehicle will also be going with the Police team, Police said.
