Sir,
We Indians are positive in our thinking to such an extent that we throw caution to the winds only in the hope that “nothing will happen and everything will be okay.” Many disasters can be averted if problems are foreseen and preventive actions are taken. I would like to draw the attention of the authorities to the 12-km stretch of Manandavadi Road (H.D. Kote Road). After the chaotic Parasayyanahundi Junction (an intersection crying for attention) the 12-km drive to Jayapura is dotted with many schools along the highway.
The road has a sharp curve immediately after Mount Litera Zee School. This is posing a danger to the road users and buses while turning into the school and coming out of it during peak hours. The school management has been persuading the local authorities in vain for having a speed breaker before this curve to ensure safety to all stakeholders.
I once again appeal to the authorities to look into this matter and take action.
