Mysuru: The Installation Ceremony of the new office-bearers of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), Mysuru Chapter, will be held at Hotel Southern Star in city on Dec. 2 a 6 pm.
Prof. D.S. Ramakrishna Rao (Principal Architect, Desirazu Associates, Mysuru) will take over as the new Chairman from the outgoing Chairman M.G. Somashekar (Managing Director, PG Setty Constructions).
K. Sriram, Chairman, IGBC Skill Development Committee – National and Vinod Maroli, Co-Chairman, IGBC, Mysuru Chapter, will be present.
Dr. Sudharshana Ramaraju, Honorary Advisor to Lt. Governor, Delhi and Ar. Tapasya Das, Architect, Bengaluru, will be the key speakers.
IGBC has major tie-ups with IIA (Indian Institutes of Architects), CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India), BAI (Builders Association of India), NAREDCO (National Real Estate Development Council) and others.
The new team wants to encourage IGBC membership and interact with people on a variety of green and sustainable issues.
IGBC is a part of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and future programmes of IGBC Mysuru Chapter includes: 1. Increasing student level participation; 2. Coordinating with builders, contractors and real estate developers; 3. Participating in industrial development and a few other small scale programmes.
