Mysuru: Jnanodaya PU College has organised an Inter-School Science Fest and Exhibition on Aug.10 at 9 am at its premises on Sahukar Channaiah Road in Saraswathipuram here. Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, College Principal Srikanta Sharma said that students of 9th and 10th standard of Schools in city and taluk can participate in the event. `
He further said that two or three teams from a school can also participate for which registration was free and can be done on the spot also.
Continuing, Sharma said that the participating team should exhibit a science model in the event. He added that the first three winning teams would get a cash prize of Rs.3,000, Rs.2,000 and Rs.1,500 respectively along with three consolation prizes of Rs.500 each. He added that the over-all champion team would be honoured with a trophy.
Sharma further said that the event would be inaugurated on Aug.10 by N.S. Devaki, Associate Professor, Department of Molecular Biology, University of Mysore. He added that the valedictory at 4 pm would be addressed by former Minister Tanveer Sait.
Vice-Principal Padma, Lecturers Devaraj, Srikanth and Prashanth were present during the press meet.
