Mysore – Mysore Art Gallery will be conducting its 14th monthly interaction programme with achievers on Apr. 8 at the Gallery premises on Ramanuja Road at 11 am.
This month, the gallery has invited G. Subbanarasimha, a senior theatrist from Mysuru. Kadamba Ranga Vedike President Rajashekara Kadamba will be deliver the introductory address. Senior Theatrist Prof. C.V. Sridharamurthy will be the chief guest.
Theatre artistes R. Jagadish, P. Nagabhushan, Nagarathna, D. Nagendra Kumar and Tejaswini will be the special invitees.
Gallery President and sculptor L. Shivalingappa, Secretary Dr. Jamuna Rani Mirle and Treasurer Prabha Shivalingappa will be present.
Profile: 73-year-old Subbanarasimha is a B.Com graduate and a retired employee of Co-operation Department. Having acquainted with theatre artistes, he started as an amateur artiste during 1963 and since then he has been continuing to entertain the audience.
Subbanarasimha has acted in plays such as Haridra Kumkuma, Panchabhoota, Sri Krishnasandhana, Sathya Harischandra, Devarige Dikku, Henagalu, Thyagi and so on.
He has also received many awards including District Award from Karnataka Nataka Academy and Mysuru Dasara award to name a few. He has also been serving various associations promoting art and culture.
Subbanarasimha’s wife Usha is a classical vocalist. His son Satyasimha is an actor while his daughter Bhargavi has been working with Sirigannada Samskruthika Samsthe in Singapore.
