Mysore/Mysuru: The South Western Railway (SWR), Mysuru Division, celebrated International Level Crossing Awareness Day on June 11 to raise awareness about the dangers associated with the road/rail interfaces (level crossings).
T. Venkateshwara Rao, Divisional Safety Officer along with staff conducted awareness campaign at Level Crossing near Holalkere and counselled road-users regarding preventive measures to be followed to avoid unusual incidents and also to obey all Railway warning and signals. He cautioned road-users to always use designated Railway Crossings to protect themselves, other users and people travelling by train and help to reduce track tragedies.
Similar activities were carried throughout the Division by staff of safety organisation of Railway, according to a press release from Priya Shetty, Divisional Commercial Manager and PRO, SWR, Mysuru Division.
