International Webinar Series on “Magnetism and Material Science in Engineering”

Mysore/Mysuru: A four-day International Webinar Series on “Modern Approach on Magnetism and Material Science in Engineering” was conducted by Department of Physics, in association with IEEE-RAS Chapter of Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysuru (MITM),  recently.

The webinar was aimed at bringing leading scientists and researchers to share their experiences and research results on the recent approach on advanced aspects of Applied Physics in general and specific to Magnetism and Material Science in Engineering. 

Speakers of this webinar include prominent researchers and scientists in Physics and Engineering from India and abroad. A total of eight lectures were conducted with a record registration by 696 participants.

Dr. Ravi L. Hadimani, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), USA, briefed on “Transcranial Magnetic Simulation on Brain”, Dr. Jayasimha Atulsimha, VCU, USA, Dr. Rajeev Rawat, UGC-DAE-CSR, Indore, and Dr. Victorino Franco, University of Seville, Spain, spoke about Energy Efficient Materials, Dr. Manoranjan Kar, IIT Patna and Dr. Ashim Kumar Pramanik, JNU, New Delhi, India, spoke about ferri/ferromagnetics materials, Dr. Carlos E Castano, VCU,USA, briefed on Advanced Coating Technologies using Magnetrons and Dr. Sunita Keshri, BIT Mesra, India, gave insight on semiconducting thin film Gas sensors. The International webinar series had Dr. B.G. Naresh Kumar, Principal, MITM, Dr. T. Vasudev, Secretary, MET and Dr. S. Murali, President, MET, as its patrons and was supported by Maharaja Research Foundation (MRF), Maharaja Institute of Technology Mysore, a unit of Maharaja Education Trust (MET), according to a press release from A.M.  Aniruddha, Registrar.
