Interview for selection of beneficiaries under employment generation scheme begins

Mysuru: The interview for selecting beneficiaries under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme, began at the District Industries Centre (DIC) office on Sayyaji Rao Road   here this morning.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) D. Randeep, who is also the Chairman of the Selection Committee, launched the interview.

The District Administration had invited applications for advancing loans to unemployed youths for setting up manufacturing and service units in association with KVIB and KVIC.

The District Administration had received 750 applications, out of which 102 beneficiaries will be selected in a  transparent manner.

The interview today will be held in two phases and those who could not attend the interview today will be given a second chance on Sept. 5,  following which the selection process will be completed in a fortnight.

Lead Bank Manager Shivalingaiah, DIC Joint Director Ramakrishnegowda and other officials were present during the launch.
