Intl. Conference on Nanomaterials and their Applications on March 1 and 2

Mysuru:  University of Mysore is organising a two- day international conference on Nanomaterials and their Applications on March 1 and 2,  supported by UGC CPEPA, UPE and DST PURSE Programmes.  

The conference will be a multidisciplinary forum for discussions and deliberations on bridging gap between fundamental laboratory research and its application in engineering, biology, food industry and medicine.

Speakers include: Prof. Ashok K. Ganguli, Department of Chemistry, IIT Delhi; Giridhar U. Kulkarni, Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences; Bansi D. Malhotra, Department of Biotechnology, Delhi Technological University; Prof. Shantikumar Nair, Centre for Nanosciences, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences; Prof. Jatin Rath, Utrecht University, The Netherlands; Prof. Josef Jampilek, Comenius University, Slovakia; Dr. Vijayamohanan K. Pillai, Central Electrochemical Research Institute; Prof. P.S. Anil Kumar, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru;  Dr.  Tai Boon Tan, Universiti Putra Malaysia, C. Subramaniam, Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay; Dr. Soumitra Satapathi, IIT Roorkee and Dr. Balachandra Kakade, SRM Institute.

On March 1, the inaugural address will be delivered by Prof. G. D. Yadav, Vice-Chancellor, Institute of Technology, Mumbai. Prof. K. Byrappa, VC of Mangalore University, will be the chief guest. Prof. N. R. Shetty, Chancellor, Central University of Karnataka, will be the guest of honour and release a book on Nanotechnology Applications in the Food Industry (edited by Prof. V. Ravishankar Rai and Dr. A. Jamuna Bai), CRC Press, USA. Prof C.
