Mysuru: A 28-member delegation from 20 counties will visit the city on Dec.31 to study on ‘SME (Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Financing – Approaches and Strategies.’
The delegation will have representatives from Mauritius, Tajikistan, Uganda, South Africa, South Sudan, Laos, Maldives, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Liberia, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Botswana, Zambia, Mali, Kenya, Palestine and Ethiopia.
The representatives come from varied fields like Ministries, publicity firms, Government agencies, banks and financial institutions. As part of their itinerary, the members will meet Mysore Industries Association (MIA) President and former MLA Vasu, JK Tyre Vice-President Eshwar Rao, State Bank of India’s SME Section Manager Shubhalakshmi Katte and other MIA office-bearers.
The meeting will take place on Dec.31 from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm and the meeting involves many interactive sessions and information exchange. Later, the delegation will visit VST Tillers that manufactures power tillers and tractors. They will also visit Sai Sankalp Beverages and Government Toolroom and Training Centre (GTTC).
The delegation will come to city as part of their 6-week international training programme on ‘SME Financing – Approaches and Strategies’ sponsored by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and External Affairs Ministry under ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation) from Dec.2, 2019 to Jan.10, 2020. The study tour has been organised by National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Hyderabad.
The delegation will observe and understand the salient features and activities of important organisations and institutions engaged in the promotion of SME promotion and financing.
