Mysore/Mysuru: International workshop on interdisciplinary topics on ‘Electronics, Instrumentation and Healthcare Engineering (EIHE-2023)’ was held at JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) Mysuru recently.
The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation, JSS STU had organised the workshop for students and faculty members. The objective of the workshop was to provide information on recent developments in interdisciplinary areas and create awareness on technological advancements.
Expert speakers from USA, UK and Netherlands delivered lectures online, while experts from R&D institutes and industries in the country like Fluke and Samsung also participated to interact with students and faculty.
The workshop was an activity under MoU signed between JSS STU with ESPAR, USA and CRICR, Bengaluru. Dr. C.M. Vikram, scientist from Samsung Research, Bengaluru, inaugurated the event and delivered a talk on ‘Analysis of Speech Disorders Using Artificial Intelligence’.
Dr. A.N. Santhosh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor (VC), JSS STU, advised engineers and scientists to develop reliable and affordable healthcare devices.
He explained about the necessity of developing precise instruments and service centres for aircraft in view of expansion and development of new airports and increasing air traffic across the country.
Dr. S. A. Dhanaraj, Registrar, JSS STU, congratulated the organising team. Dr. C. Nataraju, Principal (I/C), SJCE, advised the students to make use of the opportunity. Dr. M.S. Mallikarjunaswamy, Associate Professor, Dept. of E&I, guided student projects with MoU collaborators and organised the workshop.
Dr. N. Haraprasad, Dean (QAA), Dr. K Umarani, Head of the Department and all faculties were present.
