Mysuru: The Institution Of Valuers (IOV), Mysuru branch, had organised a programme at a private hotel in city recently to mark Valuers Day.
The chief guest for the occasion was Thilak Raj Pahwa, Deputy General Manager (DGM), SBI, Mysuru.
On the occasion, he feted the senior Valuer R.B. Dayananda Hassan, B.S. Somashekar, former Chairman, IOV, T.V. Chandra, Chairman and Council Member, IOV, with a memento.
Thilak Raj Pahwa, addressing the gathering, said that there is a close relationship between Bankers and Valuers Valuation, which is an important tool to sanction the loans for different purposes. He added that valuers should be honest and not bow to any pressure.
Pratibha Puraskar was awarded to the merit students of IOV Mysuru family members, who secured more than 80% in SSLC, PUC and degree exams.
The guest of honour Rajayogini B.K. Yogeshwari, Co-ordinator, Brahmakumaris, addressed the awardees and asked them to respect elders and also concentrate on studies.
She advised them to practice meditation for at least 30 minutes a day which would reflect positive thoughts and remove the negative ones.
K.V. Sreenivasan gave a lecture on ‘Future of Indian Valuation Profession to the Changing Scenario.’ He highlighted certain rules that had to be followed to become registered Valuers according to Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
