Mysuru: The NIE Institute of Technology (NIE-IT), Koorgalli, inaugurated the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell and Incubation Centre at its premises recently.
Dr. R. Venkata Rao, Vice- Chancellor, National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp.
Addressing the gathering, he emphasised on converting the dreams into reality through small innovative ideas.
Prof. T. Ananthapadmanabha, Principal, NIE-IT, welcomed. Srinath Batni, Hon. President, NIE Group of Institutions, who presided, inaugurated the Incubation Centre at NIE-IT.
On the occasion, Prof. Venkata Rao and Srinath Batni signed an MoU between NLSIU and NIE-IT. Dr. C.K.N. Raja, retired Professor of Law and Dr. T. Ramakrishna, MHRD Chair Professor on IPR Head, CIPRA National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, were the guests of honour.
Dr. Raja highlighted the importance of law and the connect between Law and Technology. G.S. Ramachandra, Hon. Secretary, NIE, S.L. Ramachandra, Director, NIE and H.N. Ramathirtha, Director, NIE, were present.
Nikshep Rao rendered the invocation. D. Rajeshwari, Assistant Professor, Department of ISE & S. Divya, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE compered. K.B. Manasa, Assistant Professor, Department of ISE, proposed a vote of thanks.
