IPS Officer Vipul Kumar on Central deputation

Bengaluru: Senior IPS Officer Vipul Kumar has been immediately relieved to take up a Central deputation.

Vipul Kumar, who is the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Recruitment, has been appointed as the Inspector General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on a deputation basis for five years, a Government Order said.

The State Government also placed Manish Kharbikar, ADGP, Economic Offences, CID, under the concurrent charge of ADGP, Recruitment, Bengaluru.

Labhu Ram, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Intelligence, has been placed under the concurrent charge of IGP, Vigilance, Water Resource Department, Bengaluru.

It may be mentioned here that Vipul Kumar had served as Director of Karnataka Police Academy (KPA), Mysuru and had been given the additional charge as IGP Southern Range.

A native of Jehanabad in Bihar and an MTech degree holder, Vipul Kumar is a 1999 batch IPS Officer.
