Mysuru: The ISHRAE (Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers) was inaugurated at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysuru, on Oct.27.
The dignitaries present on the occasion included Dr. B.G. Naresh Kumar, Principal, MIT-Mysuru, Dr. Y.S. Varadarajan, Professor (I&P), NIE-Mysuru, Dr. Mohamed Khaisar, Professor and HoD, Mechanical Engineering, MIT-Mysuru, Bharadwaj, President, ISHRAE-Mysuru Chapter, Prabhakar, Secretary, ISHRAE Mysuru Chapter, Prof. G.D. Chethana, Faculty Advisor, ISHRAE Student Chapter, MIT-Mysuru.
Dr. Naresh advised students to take full advantage of such professional bodies to develop professional traits in their journey towards successful careers.
Dr. Khaisar emphasised on student’s role in utilising such opportunities by taking initiatives to start career-oriented activities that places them in a distinct position considering a highly competitive world.
Dr. Varadarajan highlighted the scope of ISHRAE and how students can utilise their membership with ISHRAE. The Charter certificate of ISHRAE was handed over to the MIT Principal.
